Drug addiction is fast becoming a menace in society. Drug abuse depends on any form of drugs that might include cocaine, heroin, marijuana, pain relievers, opioids, or prescription drugs. Sometimes, medications are prescribed to individuals for several underlying illnesses, but it becomes abused when these drugs are taken more times or in more doses than prescribed.
Drug abuse is not uncommon amongst youths and young adults in Florida and the entire state killing thousands of people due to overdose. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Drug abuse doesn't mean the end of a person's life.
Rehabilitation is needed to deal with the challenges associated with drug abuse. There are several rehabilitation centers in Florida, but ours stand out for excellent service and positive results.
We have several rehabilitation programs and amongst them is an outpatient rehabilitation program.
Outpatient Drug Rehab
An outpatient rehab program is best suited for individuals with mild drug challenges who are willing to give rehabilitation a chance and are serious about sobriety. Outpatient rehab programs allow the patient the luxury of their daily life while getting treatment.
An outpatient rehab program provides drugs and treatment to patients while staying at home, and it affords them the luxury of continuing their regular responsibilities without being confined to space. However, the patients are expected to check into treatment at appointed times for both medication and counseling.
Types of Outpatient Rehab
There are different types of outpatient rehab programs, and these programs are offered based on the substance being abused, the stage of abuse, and the severity of its impact on the patient.
Our rehabilitation center offers the following outpatient programs:
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Intensive outpatient programs hatch out a plan to execute milestones that can be measured and monitored. The time and therapy sessions required per week decrease as the milestones and goals are met.
The IOP is a good option for severe patients about getting help with addiction while maintaining their work and family life. Our IOP sessions are scheduled for a few hours each week to organize counseling sessions, group therapy, relapse prevention education. Medicines are often managed with individuals who have similar addiction challenges.
Continuing care groups are created to help patients continue in their journey to sobriety. We have certified therapists who organize these therapy sessions to help patients cope better and understand that sobriety is the best way to go. Continuing groups could be gender or age-specific with individuals who have gone through or are going through similar addictions to help one another on the road to recovery.
Outpatient day programs are very comprehensive as it involves meeting 5-7 days per week and these meetings can go on for hours. Our rehabilitation center has therapy sessions, group counseling, several other therapies, such as art or music, massage therapy, yoga, meditation, etc., to help our patients.
Patients in the day program may choose to go home to their families or a sober living home built especially for them. Day programs can limit a patient's ability to work or school until the program is finished because of the time constraints and the availability of the patient to the plan.
